Peter LC Chen graduated in 2007 from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Dental Science (Honours). He worked as a general dentist for 5 years before commencing his post graduate training in periodontics at Griffith University. His research was on the osseointegration of dental implants in osteoporotic bone. Peter was a clinical supervisor at the University of Melbourne and Griffith University, and he was involved in the final examinations for dental students at the University of Queensland. He is the current president of the Australian Society of Periodontology (Queensland branch), a member of the International Team for Implantology, and the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Periodontology. Peter speaks fluent Mandarin.
