Peter Clark Ryan graduated B.D.Sc. (Queensland) in 1976 and then worked in the Royal Australian Air Force in Malaysia until 1979 before spending 1980 in private general practice in London. After completing his specialist qualification in Queensland in 1982, he worked as a halftime Lecturer in the Department of Social & Preventive Dentistry until 1986, before commencing full-time private Specialist Practice as a Periodontist in Brisbane and Ipswich. From 1996, Peter has been a Senior Visiting Periodontist at The Dental School and an Examiner of Periodontal Post-Graduate Students. Rachel Garraway graduated from the University of Qld with a Bachelor of Dental Science (Honours) in 1992. She worked in private practice in Toowoomba before returning to university to undertake specialty training in periodontics. She was awarded the Australian Periodontology Research Foundation prize for her publication on Periodontal Regeneration. In 1997 she travelled to London to accept a position in the Department of Periodontology at the Royal London Hospital.
Rachel has spent time lecturing and demonstrating in Periodontics at the University of Qld Dental School and lectures extensively on dental implants and potential complications.

Richard Grant-Thomson graduated as a dentist from the University of Queensland in 1991, and worked as a RAAF Dental Officer for ten years. Peter LC Chen graduated in 2007 from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Dental Science (Honours). He worked as a general dentist for 5 years before commencing his post graduate training in periodontics at Griffith University. His research was on the osseointegration of dental implants in osteoporotic bone. Peter was a clinical supervisor at the University of Melbourne and Griffith University, and he was involved in the final examinations for dental students at the University of Queensland. Jennifer Kraatz graduated as a dentist from Griffith University, Queensland, in 2009. Prior to commencing her periodontal specialist training she worked in both the private and public sectors in Queensland and Tasmania before settling on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.
