Dental Assistant competes at State Rugby Carnival

Periocare is thrilled to announce that Jessica Gracie, Dental Assistant, has been selected to play for the South East Queensland Division women’s open rugby league team. Jessica is one of 13 ladies hand-picked for the side. Jessica will participate at the Queensland Rugby League State Carnival at Owen Park from the 6th June – 8th June. Rachel Garraway Victorious in the Sydney Coastrek!

On Friday, 28th February, Rachel Garraway trekked 50km from Sydney’s picturesque Palm Beach to Balmoral in The Wild Women On Top Sydney Coastrek. Rachel’s team achieved 10th place in the women’s team category and arrived at Balmoral in just over 9 hours. The team (Girls Trekking Adventures Mona Vale)  raised an impressive $3400.00 for The Fred Hollows Foundation and their work towards ending avoidable blindness here in Indigenous Australia and in developing countries around the world. Ride for Recovery 2014:    Adelaide to Melbourne 21 – 27 April 2014

The Ride for Recovery is a joint venture between the Leukaemia Foundation and the Myeloma Foundation to raise awareness of blood cancers in Australia and raise funds for blood cancer patients’ services.

The foundations are proud to work together under the Ride for Recovery banner to benefit those suffering the many cancers that come under the heading of blood cancers.

The ride was initiated by a group of keen cyclists who rather than just ride for the enjoyment, decided to ride for the good of those in need.

Rachel Garraway’s Trek to Restore Sight!
