Peter’s legs get a rest in Tassie

Posted in News and Updates, Out and About on .

Although Peter has now jumped back on his bike in 2015, he will be raising awareness and much needed funds for Australians living with blood cancer – by sitting in a car this year.

The Ride for Recovery is an 880km long ride through Tasmania’s spectacularly diverse scenery, visiting the historic towns of Hobart, Port Arthur, Tarraleah, Strahan, Davenport and Launceston. Due to leg and knee surgery late last year, the required training was not possible and hence Peter will be volunteering his time as driver of an escort vehicle. Given the hilly terrain, this will be somewhat of a blessing although keeping the peloton safe is not without its challenges.

The charity is close to Peter’s heart having had … Continue Reading

Eloise attends the Brisbane “Diner en Blanc”

Posted in News and Updates, Out and About on .

Le Diner en Blanc originated in Paris over 25 years ago when a handful of friends held a “white” themed picnic. Today, it is strictly a word of mouth event and only the “privileged” gather at a secret location with the sole purpose of sharing a high-quality meal with good friends at the heart of one of the city’s most beautiful locations. Recognised internationally, the event sees thousands of people dressed all in white, conducting themselves with the greatest decorum, for a mass picnic in a public space.

On Saturday, 11th October, armed with chairs, a table and food, Eloise and her girlfriends were collected by chartered bus and taken to the secret location – Roma Street Parklands. On arrival, … Continue Reading
